Who is responsible for your personal data at Opus1
Opus1’s Office Manager is responsible for the company’s processing of personal data. In the event of delegation of tasks, the overall responsibility will still rest with Opus1.
Personal data Opus1 receives
Opus1 collects personal data from two sources, both based on Section 8 of the Personal Data Act.
The primary source is the information you provide, typically through the contact form on Opus1’s website. This form serves as the contact point between potential/existing clients and Opus1. It is entirely voluntary to fill out this form or remain a passive visitor to the site. The data collected may include name, email, and phone number.
Additional data may be generated through email, phone, or other correspondence between Opus1 and you as a client or potential client.
Another source is data Opus1 collects independently via Google Analytics. This includes session duration, IP address, clicked links, and site traffic at various times.
How Opus1 uses personal data
The purpose of the contact form and follow-up communication is to respond to inquiries and fulfill obligations to clients. Opus1 depends on an open communication platform with its clients to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
The purpose of data from Google Analytics is to improve the user experience on the website—for example, by making the layout more user-friendly, identifying user trends, improving services, and preventing criminal activity like hacking.
The legal basis for Opus1’s processing of personal data is Section 11 of the Personal Data Act.
Managing your personal data
The amount of personal data collected by Opus1—whether directly from you or through analytics—is very limited compared to other services. Therefore, personal data settings like app preferences or personalized advertising controls are not relevant. The data collected is not used for such purposes.
Nonetheless, you always retain your rights regarding personal data, as detailed below.
Sharing data with third parties
Opus1 does not share any personal data collected via the contact form, its own analytics, or other sources with third parties. If sharing were to occur, you would be asked for your explicit consent.
Secure storage, deletion, and internal controls
In accordance with Section 13 of the Act, all personal data received by Opus1 is stored securely via email or on a protected server for the duration of the working relationship. All communication and data will be deleted within two years after the relationship ends.
Opus1 maintains internal controls to ensure that storage, security, and deletion comply with legal standards.

As a user or client of Opus1, you have the following rights under the Personal Data Act:
Right to be forgotten – You can request that all data stored by Opus1 about you be deleted. If not requested, most data is automatically deleted two years after the last contact.

Children’s privacy
Opus1 does not intend to collect or process data about children under 16 years of age. Any such data must be submitted by a parent or guardian.
If Opus1 becomes aware of data left by a child, it will be deleted immediately.

Opus1 does not have a Data Protection Officer, as the company is not a public institution, does not process sensitive data, does not perform systematic profiling, and does not process criminal records.
